    Wheel cleaning help

Im almost embarrassed to be positing this but heres how it goes:

I purchased the dupli-color tire shine coating and used it on my car. Now as always when spraying tire shine on the tires, its nearly impossible not to get any on the wheel itself or over spray on the body. My problem is that where it dried on the wheel wont come clean. It honestly feels like its painted on. I have to scrape with my nail to even remove a little bit of it.

Does anyone have any recommendations at all as to what would help me clean my rims?

Ive tried a few of the wheel cleaners that i had and its still not helping much. I have the 19 in polished aluminum wheels if that helps.

The stuff works good on the tires, but the tires need to be absolutely dry, if wet it dries brown. and dont think about using it on plastic trim.

The wheel is clear coated. Be careful. I think I would find another tire dressing

May I suggest Optium Opti-Bond Tire Gel

Duplicolor's site mentions rubbing alcohol to 'easily' remove any over spray. Sounds like a PITA, good luck!

Recommend using 3M Adhesive Remover for the over spray removal. Then follow that up with a polish/wax of your choice. Also recommend you stop the use of tire dressing sprays. I use Eagle One A2Z All Wheel and Tire Cleaner to clean the tires followed-up with Zaino Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss and either Zaino AIO All-in-one or REJEX on the wheels and lugs.

the rubbing alcohol tip seemed to work better, still going to require a lot of elbow grease to get that back to what they should be. Ill try the adhesive remover too

I hand apply with a special sponge. I use Griot's dressing and apply it directly to the Griot's tire sponge.
