Just got the matte black wheels on the CTS coupe. I am really happy with them, and it looks good with the blacked out chrome. Doesn't quite "ride like a Cadillac" anymore but why else do us young guys buy the coupe... definitely not for smooth rides! Springs are the next on my list, not sure what to go with though.. Eibach, H&R, D3? Help would be much appreciated!! Unfortunately coilovers do not make my budget.
Nice car Kenny, I haven't seen too many White Diamonds on here.
Yeah, I had trouble finding the right springs I wanted for it.. but I figure if you spend the few grand to get the wheels, what's a few more hundred more going to hurt? The girlfriend is pissed either way, why not finish the car, right?
I'll post new pictures as soon as I get them installed.
Yes, these are the ones off of ebay... guilty.. BUT they are excellent wheels. I purchased them through element wheels, seemed to be the best deal. The specs are the following:
Wheels: 20x9 & 20x10.5 Rohana RC5 All Matte Black 5x120 +35/+25
Tires: 245-35-20 & 275-35-20 Toyo Proxes 4 Plus + TPMS
Rohana makes a few Concave wheels for the CTS, check them out.
I've gotten pretty good at dipping. Just don't be afraid to leave a little line break and get some on the paint. I promise it comes right off. I took a lot of the pieces off the car so they are on pretty thick.
Thanks, ill have to check that out. Is there a thread on how to take off some of the chrome? Side vents (if possible) and large rear chrome piece specifically.

I just had the dealer sync the new tire pressure sensors to the car, works like stock!
the rear bumper piece you have to take the bumper off. I think I responded to a thread somewhere about taking off the door trims. just know for the front door the mirror has to come off. hood chrome pops right off from under the hood. Trunk piece has like 4 screws once you remove the trunk trim.
Thanks for the info! Sooo the Eibachs came in today, now to get them installed. I am being quoted $250 to get these things in. Is that about right? Thanks.
Looks great man! If you like to take a look how the d3 springs look take a look at my post. Lowered on 20's coupe. Search: 2011 black coupe with some v
Thank you! I at times feel it could be lower in the front but I do not want to cut the springs and don't feel it's worth $2500 kw's actually interested in d3's rear diffuser
Ride is definitely more rough, however, not bad enough to bother me. I used to drive a cobalt ss/sc so that was bumpy too. If you are in it for the comfort, I don't recommend.
I wish kenny! I have them in my trunk and looking for a place that can install... I am on a waiting list at one shop for this monday but that is the earliest so far.
Id be interested to see how hard the install is. I was hoping i could do the drop myself with a jack in my garage. Just s aimple spring replacement...
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
