SO just an update its been a couple months of winter, ive driven a bunch in all sorts of crappy weather and everytime i exit the car wash all the plastidip still looks as perfect as it did day 1!
    Very please with this stuff.
It did peel on the rims a bit when they put new winter tires on my rims, but i'll just redo them this summer.

That's great. Certainly can't complain about that.

Plasti-Dip Chrome trim on Raven Black CTS4?

Has anyone seen this? How does it look? I'm interested in blacking out the chrome strip on the rear bumper and the chrome piece on the trunk "handle" and possibly other parts. Any advice from anyone with experience in "plasti-dipping" is welcome! Thanks! pic included.

Just do it. 7 dollars for plasti dip. If you don't like it peel it off. Really not that serious.

Re: Plasti-Dip Chrome trim on Raven Black CTS4?

My advice would be watch alot of youtube videos of "dip you car" for starters
4 coats. first coat not too heavy about 60-70% opacity
and make sure to shoot from all angles to make sure all the edges gets hugged. (videos explain better)
Lemme know if you have any questions

Edit: Oh and i just remembered the trick for the rear bumper chrome. Kinda tricky because the lip between the chrome and your painted black isnt distinguished enough for the plasti dip to cut itself cleanly.
I had to mask the painted side of the bumper perfectly along the line and do 2 heavy coats of dip and pull off the tape before it dried.
That was the hardest piece on the car to make right

So yea, it's easy, looks great, if you don't like it you peel it off. Best cheapest mod I've ever done.

The wheels are also plasti-dipped, they hold up pretty good. If they ever peel then I'll do powder coating, but for now and for $20 I spend on plasti dip cans, you can't go wrong.

You're talking about the Glossifier, right? Does it peel of like the normal plastidip?
