19" CTS-V Wheels on a CTS AWD Coupe... HELP!!!!

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1335177430.128315.jpg

So, I've changed my mind on the Vogue wheels and decided to go with the factory look of the CTS-V on my AWD coupe. The only issue is I want to know what the best tire fitment from somebody that has done this...

I have heard a little bit about rubbing but I see people have put 20" on and no run. Maybe it's the 9 & 10" width, not sure.

But I do need to know what's the best tire size and possibly the best tires.

    Please help!!!!

    This has been covered already

Go with 245/45/19 front and 275/40/19 rear. These tires have the same overall diameter and hence are perfect for AWD.
    soku and soku like this.

I tried looking for it, but couldn't find it :-(

And thank you! I have finally made a decision to go with those although I may always look back and think about the Vossen's :-)

I wish I was still there! I'm back in Massachusetts now, where it's not sunny and 85 everyday.

I do not believe those tires conserve the same front/rear rev per mile bias that the 18" rims have... Stock AWD's have a 4 revs per mile bias to the front wheels. 245/40/19 and 285/35/19 conserves the AWD bias to the front...

    Front 245/40/19
    Sidewall: 3.9in
    Radius: 13.4in
    Diameter: 26.7in
    Circumference: 83.9in
    Revs/mile: 755

    Rear 285/35/19
    Sidewall: 3.9in
    Radius: 13.4in
    Diameter:26.9in
    Circumference: 83.9in
    Revs/mile: 751

    -------------------

    Front 245/45/19
    Sidewall: 4.3in
    Radius: 13.8in
    Diameter: 27.7in
    Circumference: 87.0in
    Revs/mile: 729

    Rear 275/40/19
    Sidewall: 4.3in
    Radius: 13.8in
    Diameter:27.7in
    Circumference: 86.9in
    Revs/mile: 729

FDU, you're right but a perfect split for front/rear rev per mile is also acceptable for awd

I'm Breathless....awesome job MTL, keep posting those updates, and I would recommend adding cts premium/v headlamps to your list to make it even perfectly genuine.
Most of all thanks for the information about awd and tire options for diff size rims.

I have seen this bias in the stock set-up mentioned several times, but if the front and rear tires/rims are the same size from the factory (235-55-17 or 245-50-18) then where is the 4 rev per mile difference coming from? If it is somehow built into the transfer case/diff, then wouldn't you want the tires to be the same size just like the OEM?

cts-v wheels (sedan) are different then the coupe its all about the offset that will cause rubbing.

The Nitto Invo is a nice tire that I'm buying soon. On the AWD look at the 245/40/19 and 285/35/19. Both are 26.73 and would work well with the V coupe wheels on any CTS.
