I'm a new CTS owner and I love it.....I have a lot of plans and I really like what you've done with your lights. How would you go about doing them for someone else? I have the stock headlights and would like to do an HID upgrade in the near future.

Nice work man! I've done two retrofits- so I know how detailed the work is, especially retroing them in a halogen reflector based headlight! also, check out hidplanet.com. I did an hid retrofit on my 2008 f250, I used the fxr 3.0 projectors, they don't have the "hotspot" most projectors do, just a nice even output with a sharp cut off line. Here's a pic of mine:

They're straight, but I'm on a tilted road.

    Stock lights:

    Finished retrofit:

I'd love to my cts's soon!

Thanks for this write up. It's great. I am doing this now to replace a cracked lens on one of my headlights.

I have a couple of quick questions... How did you get the old sealant out? Reheat it?

Where did you get the new butyl rubber sealant? Was it a caulk type or weatherstripping type?
