Yes....the front ends of the coupe & sedan are the same so the instructions are the same for both.

For me the dealer was the best place as I got 50% off all My parts.

How are you getting discounts from the dealer? I need to buy a passenger HID headlight and no matter how much I plead or beg, they still want to charge me 900+ for it.

    Re: CTS-V bumpers on a 08 CTS How-to

Hey, thanks for your help. I need part number 22755332. My VIN will not help in this situation because it will show my car to have base halogen headlights. I recently made an upgrade to the OEM HID headlights but the used passenger one I bought from a local individual is junk. Its keeps getting moisture inside the light. Something I couldn't have noticed until it rained a month later. I'm already out $360 for that light. Never again will I buy used parts. Luckily, the driver side is brand new and I don't have any issues with that one.

$835.80 is the best price I can offer on that lamp... for some reason there's just not that much markup in there between cost and list

let me know if there's anything else that I can help you with

The non V brake ducts will not fit the V bumper however they are not needed if u don't mind the brakes getting cool air. The splash shields are not needed either but they secure the bottom of the bumper & keeps out the junk on the road. My suggestion is to replace these parts.....if ur going to spend the money on the conversion, do it right.

the lower splash shield helps some with cooling ... it helps keep air crossing the radiator instead of going under it and under the car ... also at higher speeds there is probably some aerodynamic function and you'd probably rather not have any chance adding lift to the car at those speeds

I have a 2012 coupe. Will the older sedan/coupe V bumper still fit? Are there any parts I can re-used on my coupe?

    Re: CTS-V bumpers on a 08 CTS How-to

I plan on doing this swap in a week or so and have all the pieces except the front absorber and half splash shields. Was wondering if these pieces are absolutely necessary for this swap. I won't be putting in fog lights or the head lamp washers so not sure if that matters or not. This is my first time doing something like this so any help is greatly appreciated. Also working on a budget so trying to keep the cost down. I have an 09 CTS base.

I'm very late to this dance so I hope those of you that have done the bumper mod (like MTL_CTS and sfv41901) are still checking this thread. I have most of the parts together and have turned my attention to finding a paint shop.

Please tell me if you had the bumper painted off the car? My car is Black Raven. Is matching the paint going to be a problem?

I will also do the V rear bumper.

I am also in the process of doing the swap. I already have all the parts but due to a recent accident had to wait for the shop to finish my car. I am not sure if you DON'T need those parts but its best to get all of the parts and do it right from the start. Contact Chris @ Rippy to give you an excellent deal. Btw, I ordered the head lamp washer cover and it only goes over the hole in the bumper (it doesn't actually cover up the hole in the bumper), so I had the body shop cover up the hole on the bumper and returned those parts.

Mine is also Black Raven and all I did was give my body shop guy the color code and he matched it. It wont be a problem matching since Black Raven is not metallic which is harder to mix.

    Re: CTS-V bumpers on a 08 CTS How-to

I understand from the write up the splash shield halves have to be replaced because the non V parts won't work. Also, the V absorber should be used for the same reason plus, IMO, not having one to stabilize all that plastic, is not an option.
