    Lightbulb After Market Fog Lights

Anyone know if you can have fog lights installed on the 2008 CTS if they are not part of your factory installed equipment? If possible, what would it cost and where would the on/off switch go?

    Thanks,

I will be interested in this mod as well... for now, until something is available I would recomend painting them body color or trying to chrome them... (if you are able to chrome plastic..?)

    Re: After Market Fog Lights

Chromed FE-1 non-fog light ducts exactly like the originals is EXACTLY what is needed as a tasteful aftermarket product!!! I want the smoother suspension and queiter tires of the FE-1 but really dont like the look of the flat black brake duct ports, and love the FE-2 chromed fog lights (I dont care about the fog lights themselves, they dont do much in fog, I just like the way the chrome balances out the front look, which is why I'm sure GM lumped them into the sport suspension so customers would fork over the extra bucks for the entire package just to get that premium look) I also like the LED pipes of the FE-2, but i woudl give up that to have a smoother ride, but I dont know if i can give up the look of the chrome fog lights. I would pay good money for someone to make the flat black brake duct ports in high OEM standard quality chrome plastic.

I too am waiting for something. I have heard that the origianal fog lights run about $175 apiece. If they can be put right in in lieu of the flat black duct ports then that might not be too bad. They wouldn't work and as was eluded to above, there is not on/off switch for the fog lights on the steering wheel stalk. The look would be there however.

if you have the cts without the stock black foglamp housing (the black plastic where the "chrome" foglam housing should be), just buying the chrome ones will not fit on your cts. they look like they would, but the bumper shell is "different" on the nonfoglamp cts compared to that of the cts with the chrome foglamps. This is straight from the Desimone Cadillac dealer. I had them investigate the whole scenerio because I too want chrome foglamp housing with foglights. They said that there is a fitment isssue where they cannont be put in place and the other obvious fact that you would need to find a way to wire the bulbs.

sorry to brake the news but its a direct fit i think it took a flat head screw driver and 10 min to get them in.
my dealer said the same thing b/c the sport model cts with the fog lamps has a different bumper code due to the fact it has pre cut hole's for the headlight washers. but in reality its the same bumper

Is this for a 2008 CTS? If so, is there any wiring harness in the car that hooks up the the fog lights? Is there a wiring harness in each fog light that you can splice into to hook up to the desired power source?

I think that I will the same thing and don't need a dashboard swith if I can hook up to a switched power source.

I checked out your link and saw some pictures for fog lights but not for 2008 CTS. Can you enlighten me further? If I can do something for $100 or so and use my time and end up with a factory looking result, this might be the way to go. Any pictures of this being done on a 08 CTS?
