Hello Forum, I just purchased a set of 22x9 rims. Can anyone tell me which tire size should I go with it? 245-30-22 or 255-30-22? Ive asked different people and cant seem to get a consistent answer. By the way, the car is a 2002 Cadillac Deville. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone. Dubbed Stealth and Mr. Please, ur specific advice is greatly appreciated!!

bad63lac is running a 265/30-22 with a easy mod to stop rubbing.
    Hey Dubbed Stealth,

thanks for all the information in this thread, I had another question for you, is the offest on the current CTS the same as the older one (2005?) I am going to purchase a RWD 2008 CTS and want to go staggered. I was going to put 245/30/22 in the front, was wondering how wide of a wheel can I put in the rear, also how wide of a tire? I am going to drop the car and I will do any mod needed. Thank you!

Pretty much it comes down to the trade-off's. Each size has it's pluses and minuses.

I'm also in the market for some 22's...I'm thinking these would look sweet: http://www.wtwcorp.com/Giovanna%20Wh...ar/dalar2.html

What's the offset and also what do u mean by "slight mod" and what exactly had to be done....

Thanks in advance for the help..

In relation to AWD and rims, the major drawback is you are severly limited in your choices of rim selections....RWD has a much bigger selection of wheels, where as with AWD your choices are very limited in terms of the style you want...

i would go with a 255/30/22 with a 9" rim. 245 will be to narrow of a tire for that width of a rim...

    bad63lac,

After riding on the 22x9.5 265/30/22 combo for a while now, do you still think that 22x9.5 is a good choice wheel size for the '08 CTS? I'm looking to getting 22x9.5 rims but, a) don't want the tires wider than the fender and b) don't want the small/narrow tire look in the rear either (which could be the case with 22x8.5).

Hey thanks! Maybe I'm too optimistic but I looked them up.. do they already make the springs? They show a ProKit for the 2008 V6 CTS part number 38136.140. I have never purchased lowering coils before.. Is a Eibach ProKit a lowering kit for 1 to 1.5 inches? http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe...51893600015302

    See at http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe...30140000015302

I guess now that I start looking..

    Vogtland has them too?
    http://www.vogtlandsuspension.com/p2...duct_info.html

Vogtland spec are 1.2 inch and Eibach is 1 to 1.5 inch. I wonder if Eibach has some spring spacers?

We will all owe Dubbed some serious kudos (or beers if you are near Cali anytime soon) for offering his CTS for testing. The sooner the tests the sooner the items go into production AND we get some great feedback on the outcome!
