I will say that I think it is pretty much the same as far as times go but there is a difference and from what I have seen and heard, the LS2 is a little more mod friendly. So, it may get a few more HP if you did the same mods to each! Other than that, it actually seems like many guys like the LS6 better though! The ones who know and have their opinions will chime in why and why not, etc.

I haven't read the rest of the posts yet but did read your initial statement and I will tell you that I have owned many, many factory fast cars and the V is really fantastic. My friends have also had the ones I didn't like S55's, the new M5 (which I love), Ferrari's etc. and I drove them all and I am still telling you that there is something about 'this' car...!? If I was a millionaire, I would own a V! I am sure there are many deep pockets on here and they own a V! Unfortunately, this year my pockets are sewed closed, hence the delay in mods! Aside from worrying about the rear, it is cool! I, personally have not blown one yet with 29k mi. Good luck in your search and just get your mods now before buying the car!!!

Also what are respectable 1/4 mile times.

Mind you I can drive well.. Im not new to the LS6/LS2 or a supercharged car.

Just want some opinions / recommendations on which s/c people mainly prefer and respected 1/4 mile times.

Also any major problems that anyones experienced after going force induction?
The car is much more enjoyable with a SC on it. It makes the car feel like 500 lbs lighter and the whine has a terrific ability to cause involuntary smiles.

A respectable 1/4 mile time with a SC? I don't know. Say mid 12s?

I've had two problems with my SC: (1) Belt slip with the 2.6" pulley and (2) a failure in the SC that caused me to yank it and take it to Magnacharger to repair it. They did such free of charge even though they knew I was spinning the charger at higher than designed specs. They exceeded my expectations in terms of customer service (even though they made a mistake elsewhere, which they made up for).

I suppose the main question is....would I do it all again?

Not sure. I *REALLY* love the idea of dropping an LS7 into the V and going from there, even though there is much more additional work and will probably cost more. The power though should be at least equal to, if not better, than a blown LS6 and it should be much more reliable. Tough call...

Re: Need opinions on a supercharged V.. leaving the CL 600 V12 world

I would say more like low to mid 12's and that is only because you can't really launch the car. I know one or two guys launched the car pretty well with some traction mods bu8t for the average guy... I would think that he wants to know what it would like in the street with the blower and it is more of a low 12 high 11 car. The trap speeds are going to be high-mid to high teens MPH so it would run with many 11 sec. cars on the street. Guys that actually have the Magnacharger on now can be more specific and accurate but I have done a lot of research on what to do next to my car. My 2 cents anyway.
