The engine for the "super vette" is supposedly going to be a Supercharged LS9 | The information you read was not correct. The Camaro will not have an LS2 in it. The LS2 engine will cease to be used in production cars before the Camaro is released. The 6.2L LS3 takes over for the 6.0L LS2 and would be the logical choice. The Camaro is a 2009 model year, therefore no LS2.
I agree this "Super Vette" has the green light, however it's name still has not been decided, and yes it will have the supercharged LS9, however, 1QUICKV said it would be a supercharged 7.0L motor. The LS9 is not a 7.0L motor, that's about one liter too big. Just correcting some mis-info. |

However it will own any 4 door on the street, and most sport/muscle cars. |

1. Swapping within the manufacturer.
2. Keeping the naturally aspirated big V8 philosophy.
3. It could've (and probably will in the new V) come from the factory this way. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
