    Magnacharger oil change

What is the procedure for changing the oil in the Magnacharger? Does it need to be removed from the engine to do it? What oil do you use?

The bearings in the Maggie are sealed.

There is no oil to change.

There is oil in the back of the Maggie it does require changing either every 30k or 100k I don't remember. Either way you have to remove the Maggie and there is a drain plug on the back that you just unscrew and drain. You can buy the replacement oil from Gm.

This post has a lot of good information about where the plug is and maybe helpful to visualize:

    You are mistaken.

Why should GM be the supplier for Magnusson?

    Re: Magnacharger oil change

My mistake, I have never had to change the gear oil as the bearings are what went out in mine.

Sorry for the mistake and I apologize.

    Becker,

You also got a great deal with your new ride too! I see them from time to time but if I pulled the trigger on that I would be spending time in the doghouse for sure. I almost did once but decided it was better to stay married! hehe

Hshs I had to persuade the lady about more preventative maintenance had been done and I could potentially get rid of my car and get his for the same price. I posted my car and sold it in four days.
