    "Badilac" Returns

Some of you long-timers may remember me - I've been AWOL for a while. My 2007 V (former vanity plate "BADILAC") suffered a spun rod bearing about 9 month ago and I spent a few months trying to decide what to do, and finally decided to go all out and try to return the car to its previous glory. So here's what I've done with the motor - all work done by Jesse Bubb of Wait4Me Performance (Warsaw, IN):

New crate LS2 short block from GM
    Lingenfelter CNC ported heads
    Lingenfelter GT-7 cam
Lingenfelter LS9 dual disk clutch with upgraded face plate and lightweight flywheel (Katech upgrade)
    dual springs with titanium retainers
CC-7949-16 pushrods and HD comp cams
Melling oil pump HD high volume
    K&N cold air intake

There were other incidentals, but those were there major upgrades. I've also had the wheels refurbished at Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists in Indy and had the front bumper repainted by Color Concepts of Zionsville. I still have my B&B headers and "touring style" B&B performance exhaust, so the car sounds pretty good too. Jesse also tuned it.

All in all, it was a very large investment but I'm thrilled with where the car is now. I really struggled with the decision of whether to put that much money into a 7 year-old car, but Jesse treated me very well and it's great to have "my car" back to running and looking great.
(Reasonable minds could differ, I suppose.)

Hope everyone is enjoying their Vs and being safe!

Some cars are just worth keeping around, no matter the cost.

    Dyno sheets?

Which state? I think Badilac us the most overused vanity plate in the county. I bet there are more states with that plate than not...

Good to hear from you Guy. We don't have any meets planned as of now, but maybe we should get a Fall meet setup.

Also, you on facebook? If so we have a page for locals to the midwest.

Why the new shortblock? With a spun bearing, I think I'd be calling up Callie's for a 4" swinger and some rods!
