    "Seventh" hole in LS7 flywheel?

So I'm told this "seventh" hole in the LS7 flywheel needs to line up with the hole in the crank. Can anyone tell me if the studs on the back only allow for this particular configuration or is it possible to bolt the flywheel on with that seventh hole mismatched? And/or what IS the purpose of this "seventh" hole? Is this what allows for it to be properly balanced?

Don't know why it's there but I lined it up with the whole in the crank and have no vibration.

I didn't notice a seventh hole when I installed mine. I have no idea if I happened to get it lined up or not. Mine has no vibration with only a 1 in 6 chance of it lining up.

I swear I've read every ls7 clutch thread there is and this is the first I've heard of this. The LS motors that I know of are balanced internally so the flywheel and clutch assembly are independently balanced. In other words it should make no difference.

It's what makes it an LS-7 clutch and not an LS-6............ right?
