You have the stock ls6 cam, or the ls9 cam or the ls7 cam or if you want serious power the LPE GT9 cam...

The LS9 and LS7 are almost identical except the ls9 is half the price...

These are proven swaps and have the best behaviour

I'd use the LS9 as mentioned...cheap drivable upgrade. You cannot go too much on a cam as the Maggie is really too small for a 6.0. Anything bigger cam wise and you risk running out of blower at high RPM's.

Two grinds, one a medium grind, the other a bit more aggressive for the PD blower applications on a 6.0-6.2L LS engine:

    1. 224 / 238 on a 115 +2

    2. 235 / 244 on a 116 +2

We can have them ground for you if you want.

I also have a like new LS7 cam for $200 shipped if you want that route.

I want my car to have the nice idle lope. I have an LS6. Katech LS9x Clutch and flywheel. OBX headers. Ported throttlebody. I will be using the Edlebrock TVS2300. What kind of power gains can I expect from doing one of these cams in addition to my 2300? And I expect I will need another tune when I am done. Also. Price.

I have a modified Brian Tooley Stage 1 blower cam...intake lobe is a little different in mine than what is on the others. Martin at Tick had a grind I almost went with, but the BTR cam was more what I had in mind. Smooth idle, just a hint of lope, awesome power.

    Re: Magnacharger cam selection

Lope is what we fought for years with aggressive cam profiles in the old carbureted days, and the only solution was to set the idle above 1000 to prevent a stumble os bog when hitting the throttle. Adding a PD blower such as a 6-71 or similar compounded the problem even further. The lope is from to weak of a signal reaching the carb to idle properly as intake manifold vacuum was near nothing. So, with todays engines controlled in most every aspect we can run quite aggressive profiles with a smooth idle as the PCM will constantly adjust ignition timing, dwell, and fuel trims to result in a smooth idle that allows great off idle response. I understand some want the lope, and your tuner can provide that, but as far as the best throttle response, that comes with as smooth as the tuner can get the idle.

For a lopey idle you may need to vary from what is an ideal blower cam grind and go to a narrower LSA like a 112 or so, but then your power and tq will suffer.
