Got bored... Threw together a nice carbon fiber intake tube (pics)

It's nothing new at all, been seen plenty of times, so here's one more. Pretty cheap and simple project and looks nice under the hood.

    Parts:
    (siliconeintakes.com)
    90 Degree Reducer Adapter 4" to 3.5" x1
    3.5" Hump Hose x1
    4" T-Bolt Clamp x1
    3.5" T-Bolt Clamp x2
3.75" T-Bolt Clamp x1 (some other lists will just say three of the 3.5"... I don't recommend it. The hump hose to MAF connection is a little thick for a 3.5 to fit, didn't work, needed 3.75)

    9" carbon fiber tube length
I got a bunch off someone recently, so I have plenty of extra 12" lengths that you can trim down if anyone wants to buy for cheap, I threw them on ebay for $20 plus shipping. Item 330984157804

Looks good. I'll take one of those tubes. Just bought one from your eBay listing.

I like the look of those tubes for sure! I have one of the original stealthV aluminum tubes that I wonder if gets to hot. Plus the CF Looks waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better!

If I didn't need to do some plugs and wires and wanting to do some exhaust work then I would be all over it!

5 left according to eBay... Is that for real? You live in Cardiff? Or are you in San Jose? If you are in Cardiff can I just have my dad come by and scoop one up from you next week in person? He works in San Diego.

Yea San Diego is the the best. I lived in Carlsbad previously and it was my favorite place ever.

    Nice,

I took it a step further, 102mm ID with aluminium collars so when i tighten the clamps i dont break the CF tube.

I have also included the MAF Bung and two brass nozzle inlets for Meth injection...

Just what I was looking for since I didnt like the look of the aluminum tubing options. Order has been placed. Thanks for the writeup!

The heat soak is WAY better too... I can grab the CF comfortably after some hard runs that would have aluminum burning my hand.

Air goes through too quickly to be affected by tube temps...
