If you've got the coin, get the Exedy.

LOL I don't have that kind of coin. I have about 3k to do upper and lower pulleys, clutch with slave, motor mount, trans mount, shifter, and tune. I do all my own work except the tune (i don't have the software yet)

    Or the McLeod RST

This is the one I'm going with for a street use. Handles 800 HP and strongly recommended by my local speedshop.

Ok on the RST and RXT what do you use for flywheel and slave cylinders?

    Re: Clutch decision......

Many have installed the RXT and rave of the results - I'm sure some forum warriors disagree with my choice using the RST. I haven't touched mine yet. My parts list includes using the steel flywheel (33lb) and the LS7 slave - The flywheel choice is strictly for drivability.

    Re: Clutch decision......

This is the McLeod flywheel I was suggesting:

The LS7 slave or aftermarket equivalent can be used. Here is the aftermarket:

Again, I haven't installed this yet but this is my direction.

    Re: Clutch decision......

The RST and RXT are nearly the same, with the RXT having different friction material so it will handle a little more power and launches. I got the steel flywheel as well with the RXT. They're still a little pricey, but these have been abused by a lot of people and everyone raves about them. I have yet to put mine in though. Hit up Fuzzy...he already installed his and can give honest feedback.

    Re: Clutch decision......

I have the RXT in a supercharged vet that gets severely abused and that has been going well so far this summer. I also put the RST in the V (06) but had to pull the trans back out right away before getting many miles on it (synchros are going out in the trans as well). I put aluminum McLeod flywheels on both setups. If your slave is in good shape use it, Tick makes shims for it to get the proper A dimension. McLeods customer service is top notch and very helpful.

    Re: Clutch decision......

I need a point of clarification please..... So as I read through numerous threads about clutches it looks like an LS1 flywheel and mcleod twin disc with ls7 throw out bearing will fit? Is this correct? Can someone who has it please confirm?

I have a parts list b/c I'm going this route - it's on my jumpdrive at work. If nobody responds by tomorrow, I'll share my clutch parts list on this thread.

That is the same combo that I have about to go in...if you can wait a few days/week I can get you confirmation. Trans won't be here until then.
