KW Variant 3 - is there any way to keep the boot down?

    Hey guys,

After installing the KW Variant 3 kit, I noticed that the protective dust boots immediately rode all the way to the top of the struts and stayed there. Is that normal?

    Thanks!

I had never really noticed that before, but I just jacked up the rear to do the Camaro toe links and mine are up at the top, too. I suppose you could run a drill bit down through the bore of the bump stop to enlarge it a bit. I can't think of any other easy solutions.

Thanks for the info. By the way, IncubusJunkie on the LS1Tech forums has indicated that his struts still look brand new after all this time (despite the cover being at the top).

I still need to play with the compression and rebound dampening on these things, but I'm fairly certain that a pair of 120 N-m (672 in-lbs), 70mm, 8" front springs and a pair of 140 N-m (784 in-lbs), 60mm, 9" rear springs are in my future. Either that, or I'll stick with the stock springs and pick up a pair of 120 N-m springs for the rear. It's too soft the way it is right now.
