I think I mentioned it already, but I'm having them put in an X brace and then another bar between the strut towers (replacing the current STB). It's supposed to be ready for paint by Tuesday (black).

The brackets and everything are welded in and they had to modify the car itself a bit. I can give you their contact info though.

I got the car back yesterday. It's awesome work. I snapped a couple of nighttime cell phone pictures, but I'll try to take some better ones later. I need to adjust my coil over ride height and try to address some horrible front sway bar clunk today.

I think it looks pretty sweet! It does kind of kill.the sleeper look unless you have some dark tint in the back! Hehe. How much weight out of the back on the rear seat and are you going to fab something to cover the hole to the trunk? Or is this going to be atrack car now?

    Re: New seats are installed

^I have 5% on the side and rear windows. It's hard to see the bars with them up so that sleeper aspect is still intact if I want it to be. Also plan on 50% on the windshield once I get the cracked one I have replaced.

Anyway, some pictures. I suck at taking these kind of pictures, so if anyone wants anything specific, let me know.

These are with all windows up:

    And down:

Here's an attachment point for the main hoop:

It's hard to see here, but there are actually three separate attachment points per side in the rear.

Here's where the hoop supports attach:

And the strut brace and X bracing (the loose nut pictured has been addressed):

Windows are open in these pictures. Bracing would probably be visible in direct sunlight:

The cross point of the X brace is low enough that a side of it is just barely visible in the rear view mirror along with the diagonal bar of the hoop. Which is nice to not have the view obstructed. Checking over my shoulder for blind spots while different now because of the seating position/harnesses, isn't obstructed either by the bars.

    ----------

I do plan to eventually figure out something to 'tidy' up the area back there and close off the trunk as well.

MAN that is some dark tint! Looks great though. Do still have the sleeper look for sure with the windows up! What has been the overall weight savings with it all done? Mine is still a DD and kid carrier so I can't go that extreme for awhile.

Yeah, although having the cutouts open most of the time, takes away from the 'sleeper' aspect...

As for the weight, I don't know. I need to get it weighed again. Last I weighed it before seats and roll bar it was at about 3700 pounds. Not sure if I posted this yet in this thread, but the Sparcos are 18 pounds each. Stock seats were 76 pounds. No idea yet as to the weight of the tubing, harnesses and brackets.

Once I get the 9" rear and Revshift bushings in the car, I'm going to have it done.
