Oil Cooler from V2 to V1?

Hey, I've been seeing CTS-V2 oil cooler showing up on eBay and wondered if anyone had any idea how you might fit one on a V1. Example auction:

You will have a clearance issue with your chassis.

Stick to the usual Setrab oil cooler and improved racing thermostat oil cooler adapter and you will be fine.

The Improved Racing adapter works with headers? I know it's extremely thin.

    Pics or it didn't happen.

Seriously, I want to see how the hoses are run and what fittings you used.

So would I. I spoke with IR for a while about trying their adapter since it's the thinnest adapter out there.

You need two 90* elbows to connect to its adapters and you can route the hoses between the block and engine mount.

    Quite easy

I'm not worried about the block and the engine mount, I'm worried about the very hot header that is right there.

I thought Naf mounted the headers after the improved racing piece was installed.

The install is fine - I can install the TPIS adapter with the headers installed (I've done so a couple of times as I've tried to figure out how to make it work). The problem is that the fitting and/or hose coming off the angled port is going to have to squeeze between the header primary and the block with a fraction of an inch to spare. Way too close for my taste.

We had to drill and tap a Moroso-like adapter for my setup. Keep in mind we used -12 lines but none of the other TPIS-like adapters worked for me with 1 3/4 kooks...Call Mark at Phoenix Performance and he can get one set up for you guys

Re: Oil Cooler from V2 to V1?

i installed the IR adapter with no headers on. Its the only way to get it all to fit with limited space, the headers dont come close to the block on my setup, with plenty of space for the hoses. I also have the Nomex -10 hoses for anything larger and i am wasting oil pressure. The outlet holes from the block are -8 but i let it open to a -10 for a little more expansion to cool it all off
