    Re: Pacesetter headers?

Many people on here use them. Those that do seem to be happy with them. Those that don't will tell you they are cheap, and you should go with a trusted brand like Kooks, Stainless Works, or B&B. The connection pipes seem to be somewhat of a hassle if you need cats.

I have them and love them. No complaints at all. Got the coated ones off of Amazon for $230 bucks, can't beat that! They were described as used, but came new in an unopened box.

I have the coated ones as well. Daily driver with two winters and they still shine with little to no corrosion. If you need cats you will need a muffled shop to install. I went with 3" hf cats in case I want to do custom exhaust down the road.

    Re: Pacesetter headers?

Wow, I see the uncoated ones for about $300 and I was happy with that. $230 for the coated ones is smokin'.

What's the performance like with them? Is it worth the afternoon and trip to the muffler shop?

    Re: Pacesetter headers?

I have pacesetters with offroad connectors and no cats on the stock exhaust system with cutouts by the mufflers...

On stock airbox connected to FFV type-tubing, with a TuneTime tune, I dyno'd 372/361 on MD.

I like them. I haven't had any issues with them.

Watch amazon. They were on for really cheap this same time last year. I did the 30 day free upgrade for amazon prime and got free next day shipping. I got mine for around 270 as well. Be patient.

I have a coated set and love them! The cat issue is a PITA though because my magnaflow is stainless and the headers are steel making my welding gear insufficient. Running catless for the time being.

come on, Amazon! they're back up to $437.55 for coated. they were $375 recently and I waited, hoping they'd go down, not up! don't they know it's holiday gift time?!?

Yeah, the one's I got were the seldom times Amazon posts used items, but it was brand spanking new. I have no cats. I installed them the same time I did my Maggie. I am at 467rwhp/427rwtq at 8.5psi(2.7 pulley) on a Mustang Dyno.

Yep, got them from Amazon for $230 on a scratch and dent sale. (They call it an open box item.) Free shipping with Prime.

Box was never opened, just a little beat up.

    Here's how it showed up:

    https://picasaweb.google.com/1130733...746/Pacesetter

Added the off road connector pipes for $70.

    And header wrap.

    So far, no leaks.

And here's what it sounds like with just the headers:

I saw the PaceSetters on amazon for $489 today and I was curious on the quality as well. Looks like I will be trolling amazon for a better price

    Re: Pacesetter headers?

See some for $298 on e-bay, that's a damn good deal, you could throw out 3-4 sets of pacesetters before you paid for one set of kooks!
