**Solved** Need some pretty urgent help with fender rolling.

I put on my TD Wheels yesterday and I am having issues with rubbing in the rear only when the car hits dips or turning corners. I was not really stressing it because I can schedule to get the fenders rolled. Then it dawned on me that fender rollers are universal 5 lug which leaves me SOL with 6 lug. I am hoping someone here can shed some light on how to get the fenders rolled on our cars.

I am running 275/35/18's. I think the problem is I had to use the small spacer in the rear to clear the hub properly with the TD wheel, and I didn't really take that into account when doing my research. Now I am barely too wide on the tire only when the suspension compresses. Hopefully you guys will have a suggestion for me.

    Thanks!

I believe it was on another forum, but someone took a Eastwood fender roller, bolted it to one or two of the top lugs and just rolled the fenders based off of that. You might have to search around a little bit, but he said it worked out fine for his!

You shouldn't need to run a rear spacer with that wheel/tire combo, unless you just prefer the look? Was the rim or tire rubbing the trailing arm?

Not true. Sean from Trinity Tek who sold me the wheels warned me that "some" ctsv's came with a little bit larger hub center section, meaning it pokes out a little further preventing the wheel from sitting flush. I believe this only applied to the wheels that have the center for center caps. He said there is no way to know if you have one of these cars until you try to bolt up these wheels. I tried to bolt up the wheels, they did not sit flush, I ordered the spacers from him and now they fit fine, just with a little rub sometimes.

I took a rubber mallet wrapped in cloth and just did it the old fashioned way. it turned out great and may have given me more clearance than if I used the rolling tool because I got the lip to curl back at an angle the tool might not be able to make. No more rubbing with the spacer and 275's.

The tire tucks under the fender perfectly now when the suspension compresses.

Also use a heat gun to stop the paint from cracking

^I wouldnt do that, its a bit too sketchy for my experience. I hammered the lip flat and that seems to have done the trick for now.

I also have a 07 and running center caps on my team dynamics. Are there really 3 versions of team dynamic wheels now, street(original allows for center caps/may require small axle cut), race(no center caps), and modified version(race modified by Sean for centercaps)?

Actually just shared this on LS1 Tech last week, here is a picture of how I did it, worked like a charm! Also run the heat gun on it just not too close and for not too long!

OK if you think pounding on your fender with a hammer is better go for it. Most folks that do that wind up chipping the paint including several people on this forum. The bat trick has been around for years. But it's all good, if your method worked for you then mission accomplished

Agreed, don't bust out the rubber mallet! My roomate tried that while I wasn't looking and rippled the shit out of the sheet metal in one corner.

Its already been done, I did it yesterday. It is not as bad as you think, I have done this on several previous cars that I have owned so I have a little bit of experience with it. I know it sounds sketchy but the way the V's fenders are it is really pretty safe. I didn't chip any paint, nothing got dented, it turned out great.

Also, just in case there is some confusion. I am not trying to flare the fender at all, the mallets purpose was solely to bend back that inner lip.

Not sure, I just know he gave me a call and asked me if I wanted the wheels that could house the center caps, or the wheels that were for track only and can't house the centercaps.

Those wheels look sexy. Since you're down here in southern Cali, I would imagine I will get to see them in person at some point. I want some black ones.
