Angry Volant CAI Guys - Help!

I sold my K&N CAI and swapped it for a new Volant CAI but I'm having an issue with installation. I got the box in and bolted up but the tube is running into my radiator fan shroud in a major way. Anybody have a similar issue? Looks like I may have to notch the shroud or rig up another way to attach the box to the car, just wanted to see if I'm the only a-hole that is having issues.

    Thanks in advance!

    Elliot

I've heard other guys having this problem. Some of them are heating up the tube with a torch (indirect heat) and molding it before it cools to fit.

    Read this http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answe.../57/index.html

If all of your parts are correct the problem is that you need to remove the bolts holding the box in. Pull it up a little and Insert the tube into the sleeve attached to the MAS then push, pull and wiggle it into place.
    Hope this helps.

    Yeah that.

In fact, why not leave the stock unit in place and put the money towards a nice set of headers? That's where a more important restriction is.

Tmac is correct. You kind of have to puzzle piece it in. Once I figured out how to stuff it all in, I had no clearance issues.

I replaced my Lingenfelter CAI with the Volant because of the stock squeeze tube being rippled like crazy. Some people say it doesn't matter. I will punch your mom in the kidneys if you disagree.
