That's almost the EXACT same cam that Tony Mamo "spec'd" for me. Did he send that to you or is that an off the shelf grind? Pulls hard, and is a very linear pull, and then even a little more at 4500 and up.

I haven't dyno'd mine yet, but I will this month and will post up.

Definitely replace the oil pump (Melling # 10296) and chain while you are in there.

Now that I think about it, I should've stroked it while I was in there!

Check out this write-up on engine tuning for nitrous. The main nugget of truth is that for a drag car, you have to select a special cam, but for a car that is also a daily driver, you just select the cam that fits your engine and your driving style when off the strip:

In that regard, your cam looks good. The LSA is a little higher than ones I've had recommended to me, but that just means it'll pull harder up top, which is what you want in a drag car. It looks like your tuner took your needs into consideration pretty well. But honestly, asking on the boards is for your own education. You can't beat a tuner at his own game.

He sent it to me. It was custom made for the car. So you guys think this came will help me get 430 on my ls2. Milled heads, ported heads, long tubes, k&n intake, x pipe no cats, straight pipe, and this cam setup. I'd love to see numbers on yours.

So you've got Tony Mamo speccing your car, and you're asking us chumps to second guess him?

Yes, it looks like you could break 400, but getting to 430 peak will probably depend on heads. Is Tony Mamo porting your heads too?

Too Funny. LS1Tech site would be better for your answer. You can look at the dyno section to see the engine setups for your application.
