    Shifter wont move

Hey so my 04 v has been in the shop for the last month getting a new crate tranny and ls7 setup. Mechanic installed everything and tried shifting the car but the shifter won't budge. Took the tranny out , and even with the tranny out the shifter inside the car won't move what at all.

Any ideas what would cause this ??? I dunno if it would come with all the necessary pieces but I was thinking of ordering a UUC shirt shift from Luke, and hopefully resolve the problem.

Linkage bound up at the shifter? Did they bend it pulling the tranny out? I'm just taking a stab at some things i've seen on older cars in the past. hopefully its simple.

I'm assuming they Bent it or jammed it taking out the tranny. Not exactly sure what.

Apparently it doesn't move at all right now and the tranny isn't in the car.

If it fixes the problem id like to install a UUC short shifter

It must be installed wrong. There isn't anything internal to the shifter itself that could bind. He needs to check the ball and cup connection.

Something was damaged or installed incorrectly. Without the trans installed, that shifter should flop all over the place.

Well whatever the issue was its resolved now, he didn't give me many details as he was in a rush.

But now I have my ls7 clutch, ram flywheel and new crate transmission in and I'm LOVING it. My car drives and shifts way smoother and acceleration is insane compared to the oem setup. I love how tight everything in the new tranny is. Overall this was worth every penny

I got my full clutch and flywheel set up from scoggin dickey , I don't have receipts in front of me but I'd say 550$ approx. and ls7 slave cylinder from Lindsay Cadillac. The tranny I got directly from tremec for 3500$ and got everything installed for 1000$.
