Mods done on cts v 04...Help seniors please...

    Ok,car is a ctsv 2004 with 23k on it.
No issues whatsoever besides a shut diff bushing before the mods.
Took to Lindsay Cadillac, provided diff. Bushing and block(the block they never installed????)transmission and engine mount all from C.Steel.UUC shifter was provided by Lindsay.
They also performed a flush on all fluids(diff, transm.,clutch, coolant, brake, power steering, etc.)
The car was sitting for a while so I decided to refresh it.
Lindsay called and I picked up vehicle.
Wow, loud noise in the cabin, feels vibration on floor and shifter way more than what I expected.
When I turn left or right my diff makes a noise similar to a "grrr or rubbing"...It's freaking me out.
They disposed all my stock parts, what went wrong?
I thought it should be a better ride with the mods but, other than a way better but still noisy shifter I ain't happy.
Any suggestions on the noisy cabin and grrr rear end?

Bring it back to Lindsay to take a look at. They will make it right. (They have in the past)

(The block is relatively new, so not surprised they haven't done anything with it).

Sounds to me like they forgot to add the extra limited slip fluid when they changed the diff fluid.

    Yup, yup and yup.

OP, did you really not expect more NVH by swapping out all those bushings? Give it a few days, drive it around. You'll get used to it (because racecar).

Those are all the right mods. Be confident you did the right thing. Your car will be much more responsive now, will allow you to put down power better, etc. It is closer to a corvette now than it was before. This is a good thing.

But as the previous posters have noted, they may have failed to add the right additive to your rear diff. Have them go over all their work again.

    All right,
Took it up there and they drained and refilled it.
With the right stuff this time...
    No noise at this point.
    Thank you all...
Monday is a "mufflers delete" day!
    Right thing to do?

Do you really live in DC, or do you live in "DC" (which can be as far out as West Virginia for some people)? The wisdom of presence or absence of mufflers will depend on local cop anal-retentiveness (usually negatively correlated with amount of actual crime they have to deal with), state inspections, etc.

Cool man, I head out to Herndon from time to time to visit friends. Maybe we can do a mini V meet at some point.

I'm just south of Herndon (Oak Hill). There are other members in the area who may be interested in a get together as well.

Funny, I have been looking for a GTG since I bought my V and have yet to hear of one.
