That's an awesome guide !!! I didn't know you needed to notch out the bell housing to get this job done. I told my buddy (tech whose doing this job for me) that it wouldn't need any altercations. But apparently it does !!! Haha

How big of a notch ? Will he figure it out on his own do you think ?

And how do you like your ls7 clutch setup ??? Big difference compared to the oem ? Or not so much??

He should be able to figure it out. It's just aluminum so cutting it is like a hot knife through butter. One square inch is about what it takes to enlarge the factory notch.

Also, I love my LS7 clutch. No sacrifices, only improvement.

the notch is not bad. i cut down level with the flat ledge below the opening and the same depth back. be sure to round the back corner of your cuts to remove a potential stress concentration

Yes. I got the tick bleeder and it had the 90* fitting on it. I had to straighten the fitting but that was it. I think I put a slight bend in the slave line so it didn't touch. Almost 15k since install and no issues.

You could probably bend the pressure line on the slave and make it fit, but it was more than i really wanted to bend it, the notch was easy to make with a dremel and was in an area that doesn't carry any load, but take a look at it when you get the parts and see what you think.

It will require bending at some level to fit further up, but i was able to do that with several slight bends which i felt better about.

Okay that's great to know !!!! I just need to explain to my Tech where he's gonna need to make this notch approximately. To make this work. Or tell him to slightly bend it as he goes

I would just tell him he can notch it if needed and he should be able to see what he needs to do (either bend or notch), or decide how to work around it. Then if something goes wrong it is on his decision, and not because you told him to go one way or another.

Well I got a shit phone call today. All the gears in my tranny were pretty well f-Ed. So there was no point in a rebuild. New T-56 is ordered and on the way. Should be here end of next week.

Did you try to find a low mile used? What's a new one bringing? That does suck though, welcome to super car repair.

Apparently all the gears are pretty well screwed. Chewed right up.

And unfortunately they're aren't many v's where I am, so pretty well mowers with used parts. So I just ended up getting a new one.
