this is a really well thought out project ! so sick! my only question is by putting the fuel cell in the trunk like that will that cause the car to understeer because all that weight is hanging off the back ? ... either way i love the idea and cant wait to see this project all buttoned up and ready to seek and destroy.

    Re: my new project

He posted up another thread about how he was having some tuning issues for 3 bar maps and such... I am assuming he is going to be pushing this car pretty hard... which given the build, cost, time, etc is completely understandable. I would run the nuts off this thing all day long.

Did you ever figure out the tuning by the way? I can put you in contact with a knowledgeable HP tuner guy in Florida who email tunes my cars.

I think on a build like this a more intense on-dyno tuning session would be better then a mail tuning situation.

    Re: my new project

Its essentially the same thing. I have done both, got similar results on my last car. But he was having an issue with tuning for a 3 bar map sensor and I am pretty sure my tuner could at least help him figure it out.

Im still refining the car. I had a little set back at tunning. Both turbos blow the barings due to oil alum shaving in the turbo oil. Even though this was my fault PT turbos fixed both turbos for free! I just got them back and im reworking the oil system and some other little stuff befor I go back to the dyno In a few weeks

    Re: my new project

been doing some work on the car the last few days. just some small stuff to wrap up and then off to the tuners/

i ended up ditching the self contained oil system as i think the is what killed the turbos on the last go around.
i also ended up redoing the charge piping as i wasnt at all happy with the ground clearance it gave me. i was going to redo it with oval tubing but after seeing that its 205$ per 5 feet i begain to look for a better option. i think you guys will like what i came up with as i dont think i have seen anyone on any of the many forums im on use yet
this is what i have for now.ill get some pics of the whole thing on and off the car in the next few days
