Re: Teaser pic of my current project..

haha, ill be working on it more tomorrow. I had National guard drill this past weekend so no work got accomplished. Also, this isnt my daily driver so I'm in no rush with it and its more of a side project.
I did have to remake the bracket that mounts the blower headunit twice. The original one was for an LS1 F-body so I had to make some adjustments with a new one. I made it out of a 7"x10" plate of 3/8" thick 6061 aluminum. Since then, I realized I needed to make some more changes for better clearance and belt routing, so yet another new bracket was needed. I just machined that one last night. Tomorrow I have to cut out some secondary brackets and then I can mount the supercharger for good. New radiator, condenser, fan, and gauges have arrived. I'm keeping the passenger side stock fan, but the drivers side had to be moved so it'd being replaced by a pusher fan in front.

Here are some more random pics of the mock-up/ fabrication process...

Re: Teaser pic of my current project..

Sorry its been so long since an update. I knew from the beginning this wasn't gonna be a fast start to finish project.
Between other projects, parting out cars, going to the beach with the GF, and life in general... I have neglected this project, but its finally coming together.

All major components are really in. just need to run a few vacuum lines, fab some shrouds and braces, install gauge senders, mount bumper and such.

Hopefully I'll be able to start the car early next week. Once everything is confirmed to be running right, belt tracking properly, and no leaks, then I'm making an appointment for a dyno tune where I'll trailer it to.

Here are some pics of the progress over the past 2 months.... ( keep in mind that many of them are mock up pics and not final setups)

    self-fabricated bracket, spacers, and idler

Had to sleeve the fuse box in order to run the charge pipe from the Intercooler

Bumper is not bolted on yet, just hung in place in the front for trial fitting purposes

That intercooler almost looks better than the mesh grill on the bottom!

Re: Teaser pic of my current project..

I did manage to modify the grille to fit in the bottom with the intercooler. In the last pic up above, you can see just the chrome trim in place. I just need to epoxy the mesh back in place to it since I had to ditch the rear frame part.

Here is it just fitted in place loosely. Also all the pics with the black TB coupler are the most recent. The red one was just for mock ups.

Looks cool. Wish I knew what the heck is going on in those pics. Anyone care to explain?
