Holy bleeping bleep [censored]. That's pretty awesome. The only question in my mind is whether black will works if you leave the chrome surround unpainted. I'll get you a picture later tonight after I finish working on my car.

These wheels look great. Titanium on platinum, only way to go IMO

Like that, not sure about the grille, but looks good. Is that the matte black or shiny stuff? hard to tell.

This is what Peter sent me in terms of available finishes:

I just did a quick 20 minute "real-life Photoshop" shot with a half-can of plasti-dip and two of my wheels. My old camera's a piece of crap (my iPhone might actually be better).

I think it's fairly obvious from these pictures that you really need to black out the grille trim in order to make black wheels work. Unlike the other guy's infrared V, however, I'll be having it professionally powdercoated to ensure that it's glossy. Then re-evaluate. The fact that I bought an entire brand new spare grille (including the piece for the hood) in case I ever want to go back is very comforting right now.

I'm not sure how to handle the caliper issue. Black powdercoated calipers with the silver 8th Day Creations decals will definitely work and it might be the only color (other than silver) that works with this car. I think that red is out of the question, because the car is already red.

And here's me capturing the sound of the car before the cam goes on...

I've got the same dilemma, but the titanium photochop above is beginning to look better.

Titanium on Silver = Boner City

I hope these rims have that deep of a dish!

    DRod,

Can you do titanium on the black V up top?

    Thanks.

I'll try to do something similar. The trick is finding a photo with Titanium wheels at that angle. Otherwise, "repainting" wheels in Photoshop just isn't the same. That, and I'm not THAT good. LOL! It may be late tonight before I get around to it. Busy day.

Possibles are ichpen, who said he would jump at chrome (maybe he doesn't realize how shiny titanium is) and danrob0123, who doesn't have the cash (maybe he'd be willing to put up the $375 deposit).

Fuzzy, are we still at only "four" Titaniums? Any movers on LS1? I have my heart set on Titanium after Drod's photoshop. That's what I needed to see. I will email tomorrow or Thursday after I know if there are any more sign ups. Might have to see if they're willing to do a half order if price is not to steep.

    Thanks, Mike

Greg_74 on the LS1Tech forums mentioned that he'd be interested in Titanium. If you want those wheels, I'd contact Peter tomorrow and see what he says about having only 5-6 people.
