    Did anything ever come of this or did the economy kill his dreams too? There were lots of updates then......nothing. Must be a lot of sanding.

    Any New updates X2?

    BTW, Anyone ever thought of taking the rear qrtr panels off of a regular CTS and grafting them onto the sides with glass and bondo? Just curious. Would maintain the lines, metal sides and possibly look pretty friggin good!
    Hoping for pics

    Update

    The car has been put on hold due to we have been swamped with work. Clients come first.

    We have sprayed the final pimer coat about 2 weeks ago .And as soon as it slows down a little we will jump back on it.

    And spending more than a used V2 once you factor in the cost of the body kit and supporting mods required to bring your CTS-V up to the level of performance you'd expect from something looking like that.

    UPDATE:

    Hello all,

    Waiting on backordered parts for clients cars so we have had time to work on the "V". First paint job is finished and when I get back from "SEMA" we start on the engine(dry sump,oil,trans,diff coolers and engine work etc..., .Then off to do the roll bar. Finally second paint job and to reassemble. I will try and post some photos when I get back, not much to look at since the car is in pieces.

    For all those members on the East coast hope you are all safe!!!!!!

    UPDATE;

    We pull the motor tonight.(only 10,000 miles on it) The first paint job is done about a month ago and curing quite nicely.

    So On to Dry sump, Diff cooler, Trans cooler, Oil cooler, Heads , cam, Rod bolts,timimg chain, Damper, Throttle body Intake, radiator, clutch, battery relocation, flywheel ,exhaust, 6point roll bar,seats, electronics,6 piston brake set up etc.... etc.... Then back for second paint job wet sand block, polish and reassemble

    Except for plumbing and exhaust it is all straight forward stuff. I think, I think, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel,it may be faint but there is a glimmer.

    Thank God for the straight forward stuff! The rest of it really takes time to do it right.

    The dry sump oil pump is totally in the way of where the A/C compressor needs to go. No way that'll work. What sort of half-assed shop is doing this work?!
