So how do I tune this beast?

Maggie, 10% overdrive balancer, 1 7/8 headers all going on this week. Obviously the V's not gonna run to well in stock tune. The installer has no dyno and does not tune cars. So now I have to get it to a tuner for proper reconfiguration, I guess? Can I buy the tune in a premanufactured form and download into the ECU? Magnuson supplies a pretuned device, but Thomas at Hendrix has refused to include one in my package. He states "you got a good deal and you can't use that tune anyway." So now I go to a dyno shop and ask them to tune the engine to the mods that were added, correct? Seems like I should store the modified tune on some kind of memory devices somewhere. Do I need to buy a handheld tuner, like Diablo or one of the others. These might seem like dumb questions, but I'm from the points and plugs generation, maybe rejet the carb if I was feeling daring

That guy..... You'll have to take it to a shop that dyno tunes. Make sure they are experienced in LS motors. Expect to pay a minimum of $500.

If you have HP Tuners and 60 lb injectors my old tune would probably work well for you (or your tuner) as a starting point at least. Let me know if you're interested.

No, only have 40# injectors. Magnuson said "we don't carry the 60s anymore." I tried to get them.

OK, Magnusson does not supply a canned tune for LS2 motors only LS6 (I think they ship them on a diablo sport). So you're out of luck there.

There's little sense in investing many hundreds in efi or hp tuners so you can flash a canned tune unless you want to get into the tuning business yourself.

Your best bet is to drive it gingerly to your nearest trusted tuner. You can drive it just don't go crazy and mash that accelerator pedal.
