GM Racing sway bar kit must go damn it!

One of my first and most favorite mods has to go (see pics). The big 35mm front bar that I ran with my FG2s is just to big for the larger KW Variant 3 shocks and there is no way I'm going to get them to fit. As you remember these bars were designed for SCCA Cadillac race teams by engineers working with GM (according to Lindsay). The front is 4130DM hollow at 35mm. The rear is 22.2mm solid 4130. Luke said to make these bars they would retail for over $1k. I paid $675 and felt is was worth every penny. These bars were more than likely engineered to run with the FG2s. I'm going with a complete Hotchkiss kit front and rear.

would you consider a trade for the Hotchkiss kit front and rear and some cash? That is if they fit with the gc kit i have on the car.

Thanks for the offering of help Odla but the Hotchkiss are on the way and I'm not familiar enough with the GC kit although I would guess since your using a FE4 or FG2 they would fit. I'm trying to get the car wrapped up by Saturday since I have some tentative track plans for the end of the month.

I would've just swapped out the front for a Hotchkis bar if I were you. I know an awesome guy who just happens to have a Hotchkis front bar sitting on the floor of his TV room waiting for someone to buy it.

    Pat
I thought your bar would be perfect but then I'm stuck with a front GM race bar only. That might be tuff to sell by itself. As you already know breaking up the set is the problem.

Stay tuned till I sort this out. I need to consider the value of those bars before I sell. I'll keep you in mind.

Nice. Better match those bad boys to the right suspension or you'll be 3-wheeling around every corner.

Re: GM Racing sway bar kit must go damn it!

The last of the GMPD bars were sold a few months ago through Lindsey, so anyone willing to part with them is quite an opportunity for someone.

Shame they won't fit with the KWs, but the tech info is much appreciated.
