First off it was a relatively simple installation with regular hand tools and on jack stands instead of a lift. Just remember the driver side axle won't fit in if you have the differential already bolted in place so wait to bolt it all in until after the axles are slid into the diff. Other than that it is really simple. My Corsa exhaust runs pretty close to the diff, but doesn't touch. I have 1000 miles on the diff now and no problems. The only drawback to the diff swap so far is that my 295/30zr19 rear tires appear to be losing tread rapidly and there are these strangle solid black lines all over the roads near my house. A 3000 rpm clutck drop results in lots of tire screaching, black smoke, 2 long black lines on the asphalt and no axle hop at all. There is still a little bit of driveline clunk, but the dual-mass flywheel may have a lot to do with that (LS7 clutch and flywheel are next on my list). I have absolutely no worries about the rear end anymore when it comes to hard launches. The car just hooks up and goes like a true performance car should.
    ..

Oh man, I can't wait to install my kit. All the parts sitting here in the garage, but I have been remodeling the garage so has been put on hold.

I got my front diff bolts in two days after emailing Kristie about them. I should have went with the full built axles, but changing the cv's myself should be a fun learning experience.

For those that have installed the kits. Were you axles the same length. Mines are. I noticed in shady's picture that his are two different lengths. I think DSS sent me two passenger axles. WT!!

CRAP! They are supposed to be DIFFERENT lengths, call Frank @ DDS on Monday...704-633-2380. Your 30 day wait for parts WILL NOT start over, to solve the 3-4 week wait for parts from DSS I ordered a set of axles and drive shaft 3 weeks ago for just this situation. This means your replacement axle should be on the shelf or will be very soon. The bean counter didn't want to order those parts with no customer at that time..........I knew it was a good idea.

    Hey Maxx,

False alarm! USER ERROR! Sorry. One of the CV joints wasn't pounded in all of the way making the axles look the same length. Even worse I had the axles in on the opposite sides! Doh!! They are installed now and it's all good! Thanks for the quick response though. That is top notch!!

Finished this past weekend. Took it out for a spin. Awesome. The car feels so much more solid now. I can chirp the tires effortlessly now, and most of all......NO CLUNK! 100% GONE! Thanks for this setup Maxx!

This may be true......but more videos are more better. Can't have too many.

Super glad to hear that you have it all together, so.....how many words would it take to describe what you're feeling right now, I mean the fact that your rear end won't blow up the next time you dump the clutch. It's also nice to silence the little voice in the back of your head that says "you better not do it".
Congrats on selling your 4 gen diff too, that extra dough makes the 8.8 swap even happier. When Glenn calls, I send him a bushing.......everybody is a winner.

Okay, I am going to have to find a good road to do a burn out. Yeah, Maxx, I love the fact that I can finally drive it like I stole it. Ha! I have been babying it with the stock diff, now I can let loose.
