Honestly I cannot hear it over my exhaust (Borla ProXS, not very loud), even when I am listening for it.

Okay, so I am thinking of scooping up one of these. Not too bad considering I would still save about a grand over buying the whole kit from CS. I could then sell my stock Gen 3 or 4 diff with 20k miles to recoup even more cost.

Are you saying the CS kit won't work for this one. I know it will need a different cover, but wouldn't everything else in the CS kit mate up?

I'm out of my league answering your question. I don't remember which splines came with the CS axles. Drive-shaft should be good. Max at CS is awesome, I'm sure he can tell you in a heartbeat but he will be sad if you don't buy his diff :P

Based on his website, his axles come with 31 spline, so this diff should work as it's 31 spline. Everything else looks like the one he is selling except for the rear cover of course.

Actually, thinking of doing the rear and trying to find a used Maggie kit and do that at the same time.

Re: CREATIVE STEEL: CTS-V 8.8 Rear Diff Swap BOLT IN

Hey Hey..... What's goin' on around here fellas? I thought this would be a good time to butt in. Ya, that EBAY diff will work, just need one of our rear covers or mod the original. The V has 3.73 gears factory, those 3.55's might be nice on the freeway.

Mr. Lupin Sir, Thanks for taking the time to video the install and for posting it up.

I have been absent from the forum for some time, I will start annoying you as much as possible with my presents in the future.

Peace to all the old timers and "Hello" to the guys that aren't used to me being around. Out.

    Welcome back Max.

On a side note you should post up the rear cover on your website with a price for the folks that want to dyi it.

Great idea, cause I will most likely need to get one.
