Front @ Rear upper and lower control arm bushings

I spoke with Max @ "Creative Steel" (503) 316-1811 he is the company that makes the motor mounts and transmission mounts. He said if we can gain enough interest he would consider making control arm bushings for the front and rear, upper and lower .
These bushings will be for performance , meaning the ride will be rougher but the performance wil be alot better. If any of you have ever put polyurethane bushings on a hot rod or muscle car you know the advantages.

Re: Front @ Rear upper and lower control arm bushings

I have a set of slightly used rear upper control arms that I can make available for designing/developing a set of bushings.

(I got a new set from the Cadillac Racing program parts inventory sell off that have race-grade bushings.)

Definitely in for upper control arm. Having disassembled my control arms no less than 3 times in the last week those bushings look like toasted bread. I'm curious as to the design. I'd be interested in ones that can be mounted upside down with a more industrial and wider solid urethane flange to accommodate after market shocks/spring combos. Sort of like the stock one but bigger.

Re: Front @ Rear upper and lower control arm bushings

I'm also interested. While I was removing/servicing/reinstalling my trailing arms over the weekend I noticed that both upper rear control arms seem to have shifted towards the rear about 1/4-1/2". The bushings appear to be getting pushed out of the control arms. I wasn't able to get a good picture of the rear bushing, but here's the front bushing on the driver side rear upper control arm. You can see that the control arm is offset to the rear (to the right in the picture) and you can see that at least 1/4" of the rubber bushing can be seen sticking out. I can't imagine that's normal.

Are the trailer arms for towing? And what does having "trailer" arms have to do with replacement bushings for the upper and lower control arms? Did you install the poly bushing from MAP in the rear knuckle despite the fact that the bushing sleeve isn't the proper length and buckles under the proper torque?

    Front or rear?

You totally lost me here. The bushings in question are all mounted basically horizontally, and they're cylindrical bushings, so I'm not sure what mounting them upside down would do. And I don't know how the control arm bushings would do anything to accomodate aftermarket dampers and springs.
