    Mini Tubs Coming Soon

I finally got an opening at the fabricator's shop and dropped her off. I am getting her mini-tubed so I can get some serious rubber out back. He just started work today. Unfortunately it is going to require the top mounts on the shocks to be relocated inboard a bit. As the work progresses I will update with photos. Should be back in 3 weeks or so.

I'm really curious as to how this is going to work out. Can't wait to see positive progress.

What are they going to do about the frame rails? If I recall correctly, someone had a tire wide rubbing against the frame

I cant get passed touching the trailing arms...

So i gave up widthening inwards and goin outwards...

I made special spacers to see if i can squeeze an 11" in my car, and the widest i could go was 19x10.5...Even got the offsetted trailing arms to add insult to injury

    Totally Miffed about that...

It is definitely touching the frame rails. They will be cut, boxed and re-welded.

Some of the Mallett V's came with Mini Tubs (it was like a $4500 option), maybe you can get some pics to see how they were done...

i'm running 20x10.5s in the rear like if it's nothing. i'm even tucking almost to the rim with a 285/25 nitto invo without rubbing and everything is stock apart from my k-sport coilovers. even better, i'm considering some step-lipped adv.1 multi-spoke wheels that are 20x11.5 with no modification other than a stretched 285 tire and based on measurements still no rubbing. what's your mission? i'd love to help. what wheels are they? are they custom? also, no spacers here either...

Maybe after the new year depending on weather. I won't have her back before then. Lets play it by ear.

I am not running any spacers. I am looking to fit a M/T 305 with a stock wheel widened to 10.5'' up in the wheel well.

i was referring to Naf's post, but that 305 is going to be a tight fit. the offset on your wheel has to be perfect and i'm not sure if the oem measurements are going to be suffice if you widen the oem wheel to 10.5. might need a spacer...
