OK, just an update. Problem isn't fixed and it seems like advice from suspension shops is that I get a solid upper shock mount. None of this shock bushing crap. Sooo, quick and dirty solution I'm thinking now is to basically get rid of the quick release upper spring perch for the penskes and let the spring sit right up against that pfadt mount I'm using as an impromptu washer. Hopefully my 10" springs will be up to the task.

    I'll keep those interested posted.

When I first installed my GC, I flipped the top rubber isolator per GC instructions. When I eventually installed the QA1s I just did a direct replacement on the front.

Yep, they're flipped already. The problem I suspect is that there is still play with the shock bushing given then the spring is no longer mounted right up on the strut. With a solid mount up top (i.e. ditch the stupid pin top idea) this would work, but with the rubber it doesn't.

Anyway, I'm trying something new (seeing that nothing on my car is setup properly). Going to add progressive tender springs to the front together with slightly milder front springs (setup will be like all coilover systems for the V not the Penske way).

This is first hand modhell tips for those that want to screw around with their suspension.

I've been there before I ponied up for the QA1 rebuild. Hang in there...
