Re: Anyone know what kind of shifter this is?

Is the top threaded? I cant tell from the small pic. If it's threaded then its Katech, if not it's UUC.

Re: Anyone know what kind of shifter this is?

It will not go cheap. On the rare occasion when a B&M gets on there it gets bid sky high.

The bottom end of my Katech has rounded corners -- it's not square like the one in the photo. I don't think that's a Katech, although it might be an earlier design than the one I have..

The threading where the knob is installed is just the easiest way to tell since UUC and Katech are the only ones (other then OEM) that use a 2 piece design.

Re: Anyone know what kind of shifter this is?

that almost looks like a STOCK shifter to me (all cleaned up or new), not a UUC
If you look at the tapered shaft going to the top, UUC is not like this, there's is straight, if someone could verify.. but looking at UUC pics, the larger cylinder is straight not tapered smaller near the top.
http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/CTSV/USSCTSV.htm

The other and MOST important way to tell the difference is Katech was cheap and makes you re-use bushings and sleeve where you connect the shifter to the fork for the transmission. UUC was smart in integrating (with urethane bushings) for this cross - bolt. - probably where the higher price comes to play.

Check the document out just over half way down.
