Trailing arms are going to be hard for me to make as i have to make it based on my car pulling the trailing arms is a time consuming process, or at least it appears that way, and i dont have a 295 tire. i need to round up everything i need which i am working on the, once all gathered the process can continue forward.

Anyways, the Toe rods will be 1.25 x.120 wall 4130 chromoly tubing with chromoly bungs and aurora heims(quite simply the best heims on the market). Everything will be tig welded as well.
Pictures and thread to come when i complete them.

Resurrected this old thread because it's always a topic of interest.
Wonder if the new Camaro toe rods from Lakewood would fit the V1. BMRs are so overbuilt and have adjust-ability issues. Any ideas on how we might view a drawing of the Lakewood rods? Pics are different scales obviously.

Well, the stock Camaro bits are only ~$17 from gmpartsdirect.com, so one could buy a stock part to compare. (That's assuming I'm picking the right part in their catalog. It says "link rod" under rear suspension. There's no diagram to look at. If I look at the CTS-V rear suspension, there is a diagram, and the "link rod" is the toe link.) Or maybe a Camaro owner on LS1tech has installed the Lakewood pieces or some other aftermarket option and could loan out a stock one?

Looks like BMR also makes Camaro toe links. According to Jegs.com, they fit both the Camaro and the G8. Just based on that I'd say these would be a no-go, but that's hardly definitive proof.

Just wishful thinking I guess before I drop 300 on BMR. The Camaro and G8 have the Zeta frame which I heard was a "sort of" variant of the Sigma platform we're on. Grasping at straws here.

I would be curious to see what needs to change on the lakewood ones, if they are too long it might be possible to shorten the middle section, or if too short, it might be possible to get a longer center section by contacting lakewood...

The biggest thing is that we need a spacer made for the outside end, you can see that BMR built this in

Sorry to bring up a dead thread, but it looks like the G8 part might fit the CTS-V. Not only is it cheaper, it's beefier and it's double adjustable!

Is that comparison to stock V, or comparison to stock G8? I haven't looked back there in a long time, I don't remember what ours look like.

Stock V part is on the top. BMR V part is on the bottom. That big fatty part in the other picture is for the G8.

Re: Looking for rear toe rods and trailing arms

With the original CTS V BMR rods fit was the issue. I had to machine spacers to take up the slack in the front mounting brackets. That being said, even if the G8s were a bit too thin, spacers will work as well.
