UUC Transmission Mou I didn't realize that mounts required rocket science to make! How can any performance company cheap out so bad on simply an engine or a motormount?
( http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...ion-mount.html (@#$^!* UUC Transmission Mount))
Do you trust their brake rotors? You would think that selling these would be a 'slam dunk' for UUC. A friend of mine who works for a BMW performance shop/garage has seen UUC quality go down hill to the point where they won't deal with them anymore. It good to see that Max has come through with an alternative for us. I just wish I had some confidence (visual proof) that any of the aftermarket mounts available have welded studs and postive stops.

UUC Transmission Mou Mount is PERFECT guys. Minimal increase in noise/vibration. It's late now and I am pissed about my nitrous kit (more info to come). I'll have a review tomorrow early afternoon.

UPDATE: We just ordered a rear diff bushing to see what we can do to help in this area. Once I see what I'm up against, I'm sure we'll be able to offer an upgraded version. Don't even think about asking me if it's ready yet, it's not ready, I'll spread the word when the demo's are ready to test.
After the diff bushing is good to go, what should our next product be? What do you guys want? Don't forget the name of our company "Creative Steel". I have a whole fab shop just sitting there, waiting to make V parts. Rear Trailing arms? I was reading a thread that there was interest in putting V2 brakes on a first gen V. We built brackets years ago to put C5 brakes on a T-Bird independent rear. They worked great. Give it some thought. Max |

UUC Transmission Mou Driveshaft bushing? You didn't forget did you? I don't think you can buy just the bushing, but there have been a couple of guys on here lately talking about getting the driveshaft replaced because of shot hanger bearings or something like that. Maybe they can help donating a bushing for a template.
Trailing arms and toe rods would be good, but you would't be the first.
Maybe rear bushings for the differential, I know they aren't really considered contributers to clunk, but maybe there is some interest?
If you make a front diff bushing that will pop into the sleeve it would be alot easier to change. The sleeve is a pain to pull from the diff exspecially without a proper puller, but the inner rubber bushing is a snap to remove, just a thought.
Here's apic of the driveshaft bushing(thanks lollygager8) it just screams to be made of urethane. Not sure if it would need to be properly balanced, I imagine it would.

UUC Transmission Mou i know it might be crazy, but you asked for some ideas. i have the pro axles in a stock 04 rearend. it would be nice to research some options to stop the rearends from breaking. one that doesnt cost $5000. everyone is making good power but cant use it, i dont have confidence, that the axles will stop the rear from breaking.
like i said, it might be a crazy idea. but it sure as hell would be nice!! |

UUC Transmission Mou I think you could build a kit that fits a Viper rear with some shorter shafts that fit into the stock stubs (or upgraded stubs for more). The rear would need a bolt in cradle kit..
I would say thats about as cheap as it gets, I routinely see viper rears for 3-500 bucks, so figure a bracket, some stubs, might work out to 1200 in costs, then bracketry. (Not that I was thinking about fabbing this one-off in my garage or ANYTHING...) Might be able to sell it for 2500 bucks.. Look into it, Id test it in a heartbeat.
Oh and if you need pics and dimensions of those bent trailing arms for big ol rims and tires, let me know. |

I'm telling ya, Half the clunk is coming from the rubberband carrier bearing!
