    Limited Slip ???

The V has a mechanical clutch type limited slip diff right? Not an electronic braking type. I'm not talking about the traction control program. I'm talking the guts of the Getrag.

You are correct - it is a mechanical clutch type limited slip.

I bet you were wondering if that is why your rear calipers are gold! Maybe you should just tell everybody that you are just that bad ass!

    Re: Limited Slip ???

    You are correct sir.
It has what I affectionately refer to as a G80 diff.
G80 is not listed on the SPID label of a V because it is part of another package that the V has, the base models all show G80 with limited slip if so equipped.
My Trailblazer has G80 but it is an Eaton locker which uses some quite different parts.
It has a flyweight and some gears in it to lock the rear end but the principle is the same.

Excellent !! Very astute on your part. I wish I was a bad ass, then I wouldn't be going nuts trying to find out if something is hosed up with my brakes.
