    H&R Lowered Pics

Here is some pics of an H&R setup. The front is about as low as you can go without problems I think. The car ran fine at the track with no rubbing or interference. Notice the shot of the front wheel well.

I'm running the FG2s with forum member RC531s spacers. There are other spacer options for the rear but his worked out great with the H&Rs. You could do a search and find out tons of stuff on spacers.

thanks for posting the pictures of the car....
Q: What size rubber you running?
...I wonder if my 265 will rub on H&R....

Q: What's your guess the spring rate is? I heard H&R doesn't not publish...

Do you bottom out at all? scrap any speed bumps etc...

I'm in the processing of comparing H&R (which many V owners have) to Vogtland Springs @ 600lbs (hearsay) which no V owners have (yet)

The H&Rs claim to be 30% stiffer than stock which would put them at maybe the mid 500s. They are firm, make no mistake, the car will ride quite differently. With FE4s it may ride a little better. Potholes are hard hits now. With a Hotchkiss bar and FG2s the car will not roll very much at all. H&Rs are a real value if you shop around. The spacers are from a guy named 2003RC51 on the forum. These springs are just about the perfect height. My car is within 3/16 of an inch consistent ride height on the fronts and backs. They haven't rubbed the tires at all and don't squeek or clunk so far. I would still be careful going down driveways anyway. This is where you can pop a swaybar endlink on a lowered car as well. The 265s may rub if you take a big hit on the suspension. My stock Run Flats just make it. Infact I don't know if anyone with big tires in back has been able to solve the rub issue unless they increase the spring rate so much that the rear end no longer travels much. That or roll the fender lip to increase clearance. GCs are a great choice as well but since I don't need to adjust the ride height, I think the quality German made H&Rs are a good choice. Good luck with your mods.

just reec'd more data from Katech:
    rims:19x9 F/R tires: 245/40R19 & 275/35R19

now I need to calculate and compare heights and widths to my 265's

I actually got the idea for H&R from you. Your pics seemed to be the perfect height. Mine looks just like yours.

Jerry let me know how this works out. I'd be interested in knowing who makes those wheels as well.
