    Convert your V1 into a V2

    Yours for only $14,500:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2009-...=p4506.c0.m245

Would you do it, or what motor would you build for $14.5K.
I would go with a built LS around 440ci (10:1), AFR heads, and a ProCharger F1A with 16psi.

I'm pretty sure that motor was already posted somewhere around here before the forum discombobulation.

I'd have more fun frankensteining my ls6 than putting that in, but to each their own.

If i had 14k to spend I would have a built 427 with a V3 blower and the ability to turn 9-10k revs.

displacement, boost and revs....i just got a shiver.

Any thoughts on if a 502 would fit in our cars? I have a hole in my cigarette boat right now and 2 502s sitting in it....

Can you do all that for $14.5k (cradle to grave)? I'd be amazed if you could...

    See comment above.

What's funny in that ebay listing is that he says it's the same motor that's in the ZR-1 Corvette!!

    Ummmm...

The primary problem with the LSA is that it uses cast pistons, rather than forged pistons (like in the LS-9). Fix that, and it's one hell of a motor...

Would I do it at $14.5k? Not sure. I'd consider it more for a few/several thousand less though, as I could do something about the cam, heads, crank pulley, and/or, especially, the pistons...and THEN, this motor would REALLY SMOKE. You're talking SERIOUS HP to the tires. The blower on the LSA isn't really working all that hard in stock form & can pushed a lot more without a lot of effort.

One day left on auction, no bids. I did not realize the tranny and other goodies came with it, makes the deal a little sweeter.

To bad you can just bolt in the V2 interior. That's the only part that really can't be 'upgraded' to the same level IMO.
