Good luck. Hope it works out well on your V. I'll be looking for the pics once you get em up. I've been thinking about adding those to mine as well, but am a little concerned about how they'll fit on my V with my 20"s. Also, let me know how it was installing them and what the total price you paid for it all. Thanks and good luck.

    Re: buying lowering spring

Just before my unfortunate incident, I had such an incredible time finding some of those old, but amazing, North Kentucky roads that I remember from 12-15 years ago. The GC coilovers, when matched well with whatever shocks you run, just make the car such a pleasure to drive. I had FG2s with 500/550lb coils and now was running Sachs T2 shocks that were well matched with 650/700lb coils.

And you can adjust them however high, or low, you like, within reason...

The OEM rear shocks (either standard FE4s or the high performance FG2 option) are self-leveling. The self-leveling feature will "undo" the lowering effect of the lowering springs. The spacers are used to "trick" the self-leveling shock so that it "thinks" the car is still at the original height.

Should have bought the whole kit from me and you would have saved money. Hope the $10.00 you saved by adding the vendors link into your post was worth it.

Yeah. I didn't really ditch them, but wanted to try the T2s that AAIIIC was offering me. What is really sweet with the T2s is that it has a simple rear mount made of hardened rubber. No GC spacers, no Feff washers and it is quiet as a mouse.

All I needed to do was get the rubber washers from PISNUOFF and get the dustshields onto the rears correctly and they would've been perfectly fine. But I didn't have the washers and I wanted to get another set of dustshields before adapting the ones I had on my old FE4s.

So I slapped on the T2s and just really, really liked them.

The QA1s were much, much better after the rebuild...
