    H.E. pro axles (hop)

just thought i should put this out there. and right after i told jimmyh ive never had any ( sorry jim ). still had none stock.
picked the car up yesterday from EPP after cam, headers, and corsa install. was on the way home when a truck in front of me turned and the highway was ready for the picking. was going slow enough so i took her all the way down to 1st. went 1st through 4th as hard as i could and it happened. on my 3rd to 4th shift, i had one and only one, slam ( hop ) of the right side. real hop, the smack the bottom of the car with a hammer sound.
ive got over a thousand miles on the axles and this is the first case, might be the added hp. im not saying this to try and hurt hendrix in any way, i would still buy these axles again and again!

    thanks, tony.

tony, how do you like that cam? Are you going to update that old thread?

what are the specs on that cam and what were the end results? I want to drop a cam in my LS6 as well and am interested to see your results. VIds would be nice too

    Re: H.E. pro axles (hop)

so you had just one hop.... no car is totally hop free and even with these axles you will eventually find it at some point.

i think these axles let you be able to drive through it.

I not sure I consider that 'hop'. Maybe the subframe bushings are finally starting to wear out enough to alow the subframe to contact the body in an extreme case. Mine will hit the body when accelerating hard and hitting a bump. If the axles didn't do what is claimed, you'd be hitting like that every time you spun the tires in a straight line.

I'm not saying they don't work, I know that they do! I'm just still testing them to see what they
Will do, and I got one single hop, and wanted to let it be known. I don't think my bushing are
Bad, lol, I only have 9000 miles on my car! Thanks

I agree. In this setup either the cradle bushings or the differential bushing can go "bang" in the context of a hard shift even if the rear tires have continuous, smooth, road contact.
