depending on how the setup works, that's a good price. The LS7 setup cost me 650.

Of course you still have to put it in writing what sort of power levels that clutch can hold...

An LS7 (stock) motor is rated at 505 horsepower/475 floot lbs. torque, presumably at the crank.

Now I'm waiting for the f'n fw and pp bolts coming from Summit.

On top of that.....my Jeep is acting like the timing is 180 off for whatever reason, so I've been working on that the last couple days so I can drive that while the V is down.
I'm throwing sensors at it, fuel pump, I'm in mod hell before it ever started!

    rant off

so cost is a little more then ls7 ready to bolt in with the arp bolts needed also, and the lapd remote bleeder... but will it duplicate the hp ratings of the ls7 clutch....

(on a side note... will the ls9 clutch work in our cars?????)

You dont HAVE to use arp bolts, stock replacements will work.As far as rating we would rate the ls7 at 350 hpThe ls9 will not work and ours will hold more than the ls9.

We rate at the rear tire with the right vehicle,a clutch that will hold 400 rwhp in a vette WILL NOT hold 400rwhp in a CTSV.

I have no reason to doubt what you say, I just wanted to understand it.

So what you are really saying is that clutch systems should rated based on horsepower (or perhaps torque) and the weight of the vehicle - not unlike the vehicle weight/aerodynamics factoring that Mustang dynometers employ in determining "horsepower.".

Yes,but the manufactors like to rate for best case ,then when you have a problem they tell you that your cars to heavy!...If i guy calls me for a clutch and i make a recomendation i stand behind it 100% ,no excuses.
