Ok, Radix had a good point. I thought they my not interfere and the coupling attached the two kind of like the weak link thing. Something binds the coupling goes to save the rest. Well radix was right. They are interference and if the coupling would have broke, they would have hit but with lash. My problem can be seen in the pictures below.

Darn, sorry to be right. That type of failure would be due to some type of vibration - any misalignment of snout or anything you can think of ? any harmonic vibration when it was running ? - i.e. did the belt run smooth, whip, pulse, etc?

I would put a caution here for those jumping in and replacing the isolator on the '09 with the W4M part (which looks like the Maggie one here) - The GM standard part may rattle, but it has 100's of thousands of miles of test on it - the W4M part ? I don't know, but the right coupling of vibe into those pins and we see the result right here. Careful.

I've never had any vib problems. Belts always ran smooth, nothing out of place by any means. My engine is even balanced and blue printed. To give you an idea, this is how small the parts are. I cant believe these work at all!!! This coupling and the three pins drive the rotors on your blower! Its almost hard to believe.

the pins are intact (not sheared) but have just come out of the driver ?

perhaps a manufacturing step missed ? (to secure pins properly)

Yeah they sheared low and very smooth. I could see how the pics could be deceiving. This sucks.

Yeah that would have been fun.

Hey Hendrix! Can you help here? I've sent a few emails and am in contact with one guy. I actually was going to send the money tonight and send the blower first thing monday morning then found out that it wasn't the coupling that was broke so I didn't want to pay until I know he can fix it. I sent another email to this guy http://www.stiegemeier.com/home.html I have heard he does great work but is more expensive. But, since your a vendor I would rather keep the money around this neck of the woods since you have done some good things around here. Let me know! I need this thing fixed asap.

if the 112 is the same one the 03/04 cobra's have then I see no reason it would be a bad idea as porting a cobra is one of the best mods you can do with the stock "h"eaton

Re: Maggie spins but I have no boost!!!!

You know, when I talked to him (Hendrix) today, he just said that it is NOT recommended and he would never do it if he had a MP112. Then we changed the subject. Maybe he can shed some more light on why.

I did a bit of research and found a guy named Joe who works at Magnuson and he had the following to say when someone asked him if it was OK to port a MP112 Maggie:

MagnaChargers have an abradable powdercoat on the rotors that wears in at a closer tolerance then can be machined. You will lose performance by doing any type of porting.

I'm a little lost now. The top pic, is that the inside of the rear pulley? And are we talking about just getting new pins? I probably missed something obvious
