For those folks that still feel compelled to find some minutae to complain about on an internet forum, may I suggest something along the lines of jumping on the 'Why didn't you install this within 4 picoseconds of getting it in your front door' bandwagon? SkullV has the right idea, he was following both tacks admirably.

I'm just as anxious as anyone to find out whether this is The One Solution(tm) for our wheelhop and by extension our diff mankyness (mine is a good test case in that respect, I have a diff that's less than a month old), and I assure everyone I'll have this in and tested as soon as humanly possible.
Any updates? Have you had a chance to start the install?

Re: Hendrix-Engineering econo axle tester needed!

This comment may be of no use or the subject may have been covered somewhere else in the forum, but one of my cars is a 93 Mazda RX7, one wheel-hopping mother with 430 RWH in a 2,900 lb. car. The Mazda has something called a power plant frame that I have broken twice because of the hopping, but I have never broken an axle or the factory diff.

At the dragstrip however, I use Mickey Thompson ET Streets, a bias belted tire, not a radial, 10.5 wide on a 16" rim, and there is zero hop, in spite of dropping the clutch at 7,000 and 8,000 RPM at launch. I have solid trailing arms and toe links but I have yet to find a street tire that gives the same result, including drag radials. I think the bias belted tire wrinkles a bit and absorbs some of the shock but it seems to me that it is the size of the patch that matters with that particular car.

Which leads me to a Noob question: what is the widest wheel/tire that can be put on the rear of a V?

Most noob questions can be answered by reading the FAQ thread.

Let's keep this thread on the topic of Hendrix Axles, please.
Rest in Peace, J.D. (aka Dirt_Cheap_Fleetwood)

Well at $299 if it reduces 80% of the hop I'll take 2 sets, overnighted.
