Even though my bushings aren't too noisy, I'd still keep them for the handling benefits.

Agree. I bought mine long after it had been established that their effect on wheel hop was marginal but they did improve handling. I am pleased with them in that regard.

I don't want to be the killjoy on these shafts but...

They do indeed work. But not 100%. If you load up the axles with torque (i.e. a hard launch) yes they work well. Lots of spin, no hop.

But for moderate street starts, you can still get a little bit of hop. Though it is nothing like stock.

thanks jimmy for the premature let down but id rather wait on the delayed-even-though-delivered testing to prove such facts...even so, a 400 dollar diff saver is well worth it.

I'm glad you said that. Now I know to keep my Kars III when I install the econo axle.

Pardon me, but to some of us Jimmy's report is fact.

No, but I have not tried all possible launch scenarios and I am not stock.

The streets in my area come in two flavors - concrete residential and asphalt thoroughfares. The concrete is abrasive and provides great traction, but I don't launch even moderately hard in residential subdivisions so I don't know whether I would have wheel hop on the concrete or not.

The asphalt thoroughfares, in stark contrast, provide lousy traction right now. We have had the driest summer in recorded history here and the asphalt is oily slick. It doesn't take much for the V to spin on this asphalt and I have had no wheel hop during moderate or relatively hard launches (including hard shifts to second gear) on this asphalt.

As this has apparently become an inexplicably prurient issue in this thread, I'm happy to announce that I am once again a supporting member.

For those folks that still feel compelled to find some minutae to complain about on an internet forum, may I suggest something along the lines of jumping on the 'Why didn't you install this within 4 picoseconds of getting it in your front door' bandwagon? SkullV has the right idea, he was following both tacks admirably.

I'm just as anxious as anyone to find out whether this is The One Solution(tm) for our wheelhop and by extension our diff mankyness (mine is a good test case in that respect, I have a diff that's less than a month old), and I assure everyone I'll have this in and tested as soon as humanly possible.
