You wrote, "in this product." In my mind, that's a bit more encompassing of Magnuson's product line than just your particular unit. If you intended otherwise, my bad.

Nonetheless, bearings going out at 200 miles or 20k miles is too soon. I'm at 10.5k with no issues, and I believe ronr is approaching 40k with no issues. Something is going on either in the manufacturing process, in the bearing itself, or in the design of the maggie to have this be as frequent as we've seen.

Getting back to the eBay listing, I wonder if the guy is trying to sell the car with the maggie OR the maggie by itself, whichever first occurs, and will revise or delete the other ad accordingly. I'd do that, BUT I'd also tell people who asked questions what the heck I was doing so they didn't think a scam was going on. What ... is the guy too busy?

I am holding on hoping that is the case but I've lost a bit of confidence in this purchase now and am a bit hesitant. I really need to hear from him directly but no responses yet

regarding the procharger comment, i think EPP only sells them if they install it for a price around $8,300.

This is exactly what this guy is doing ... making prospective buyers more wary. Does he think people are stupid and won't be suspicious? He HAS to be more forthcoming as to his motives. Until then ...

My car in 86* weather, at what can be considered pretty much 100% heatsoak (165* IAT), on the dyno still pulled about 434/412.

That's about 100/80 over stock, with headers.

I bet it's down at least 25 hp from where it is in cooler weather and on the highway.

    Worth the money? Yes.

Bigbadcj, I see you on line lol. I sent you an email as it seems you couldn't get PM's in the past and I wasn't sure if that had changed.

Re: Maggie on ebay = seemingly good deal

ok guys here we go. I knew this would pop up on here ive just been a bit busy. This is not a scam. If i were to scam someone it would be for a hell of a lot more then 3k. Im not greedy but damn. The car and the maggie are 2 totally diffrent animals. Im working on closing a deal on the car itself now....seemingly enough the maggie is still for sale. This maggie for sale was off another engine build on another V. All the parts are there, wires and all. You will only need to get it tuned. I do not have the harmonic balencer bolt or pins! I thought i had another set and do not. So add that to the missing part list. Let me know if you guys have any other questions.

I missed out on a couple Maggies before I got mine. So don't worry, you'll get another deal.
As for the bearings....I have little confidence in them. If you can get a used unit, that is two years old, from someone you know, your probably better off.
    Good luck Dee

I'm treading in shark infested waters I realize, but a $3,000 head/cam kit chosen correctly will give 100rwhp. Of course, many guys don't want their cadillacs to sound like race cars either. Just trying to figure it all out.

Apologies for the assumptions. Lesson learned for ebay, don't use the same pictures in two simultaneous auctions I guess.

After this maggie is repaired or replaced and if i decide to stay with a magnuson product i think i'll save up and get one of the tvs models those units are mostley bolted together and should be easier for most shops to work on.at least you won't have to send it all the way to california for repair and long down time.
